The result of two years of analysis and discussions from the city's Task Force on Climate Change, this report discusses the process the Task Force utilized, likely climate change impacts on the Town, recommendations for the town and Town Council pertaining to both mitigation and adaptation over the long-term, and immediate actions the Task Force feels are essential for the Town Council to undertake while the longer term strategy is being developed. These four immediate actions include incorporating climate change into organizing, planning, and development considerations; creating an Office of Climate Change and Sustainability in the Office of the Mayor; establishing a permanent Task Force to support the Town Council, and establishing a revolving energy fund to fund energy efficiency and conservation projects.
