The Transportation and Climate Initiative (TCI) is a regional collaboration of 12 Northeast and Mid-Atlantic jurisdictions that seeks to develop the clean energy economy, improve transportation, and reduce carbon emissions in the transportation sector.
The collaboration is supported by the Georgetown Climate Center, which facilitates state discussions, stakeholder events, and produces research and papers to support state work. TCI states work together on clean vehicles and fuels, the development of sustainable communities, the use of information and communication technologies, and freight emission reductions. Many TCI states are working together to explore potential regional and market-based policies that would both improve transportation and reduce pollution.
