GCC is pleased to once again partner with FEMA Region 9 to bring you five new episodes of the Level Up Audio Project, streaming now on most podcast services!

"The Level Up Audio Project brings stories of local resilience, collaboration, and leadership to life," said GCC Adaptation Program Director Mark Rupp. "Through these audio stories, adaptation and resilience professionals – as well as community members with an interest in making their communities safer and more livable – can hear directly from leaders who have implemented solutions that elevate equity and aim to protect people from natural hazards and climate impacts."

Now in its third season, Level Up was created by FEMA Region 9 to share stories of real people and experiences that elevate best resilience practices and strengthen the community of hazard mitigation and climate adaptation professionals. As a resource to state and local governments on climate adaptation and resilience, GCC distributes the series, which features conversations with practitioners at the forefront of these local initiatives.

This new season explores themes of equity, problem-solving, and collaboration to inspire hazard mitigation action, with examples from FEMA Region 9 jurisdictions to include California, Nevada, Hawai'i, and the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. Season 3 comprises five episodes discussing comprehensive equity integration in climate planning, seismic vulnerability, drought, and coastal resilience.
