The Transportation Research Board named a new slate of leaders at its Annual Meeting. This includes Georgetown Climate Center Executive Director Vicki Arroyo, who will serve as vice chair of the TRB Executive Committee.
Each year, the annual meeting of the TRB brings together industry stakeholders from around the world to feast on a smorgasbord of facts and figures, ideas, analysis and exhibits that push the frontier of geekiness. This year’s meeting included the first appearance in the United States of a prototype autonomous battery-powered freight vehicle from Einride, a Swedish company.
TRB also named Katie Turnbull as chair of the Executive Committee. Turnbull is the executive associate director of the Texas A&M Transportation Institute and a professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University in College Station.
