GCC convenes state-federal dialogue

February 22, 2019

Georgetown Climate Center regularly facilitates gatherings of bipartisan state leaders to collaborate and focus attention on states' contributions to climate and clean energy solutions. On February 22, GCC convened officials from a dozen states representing all regions of the U.S. for a dialogue on evolving state-federal issues and what's next for state leadership on climate and clean energy. State officials shared updates on their priorities and plans for accelerating clean energy initiatives, explored promising areas for future collaboration, and heard from Congressional staff about legislative proposals with potential to move forward with bipartisan support in the next two years, including investments in resilience, electric vehicle infrastructure, public transit, and smart grid technology.
