GCC welcomes Senior Associate Amanda Lineberry to Mitigation Program

Amanda Lineberry's headshotThe Georgetown Climate Center is delighted to welcome Senior Associate Amanda Lineberry to our Mitigation Program. Amanda comes to GCC from the U.S. Department of Justice's Environmental and Natural Resources Division, where she defended agency actions under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and other environmental statutes as a trial attorney. She has clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

"Amanda's extensive experience with environmental laws, federal courts, and federal regulatory frameworks makes her a great asset to our team," said GCC Mitigation Program Director Melissa Birchard. "Amanda will contribute significantly to GCC’s work supporting initiatives to reduce climate pollution in an evolving legal and regulatory landscape."

Amanda holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and B.A. from the University of Richmond. Welcome, Amanda!
