"An Obama EPA veteran has returned to the agency as a top aide to Administrator Michael Regan. Mark Rupp is now assistant deputy administrator at EPA. He comes to the agency from the Georgetown Climate Center, where he led its adaptation program.
Rupp's hire fills a key position for the agency during a consequential time. EPA has embarked on an aggressive push this year and next to wrap up regulations dealing with air, climate and water as well as manage billions of dollars in historic funding from President Joe Biden's trademark climate and infrastructure laws."
