Chief Resilience Officers as Policy Bridges: Connecting Climate Resources Across All Levels of Government

Wednesday, May 13 at 11 AM | Room 304

Join this plenary session that brings together three current state Chief Resilience Officers representing different organizational models and parts of the country. Georgetown Climate Center's Joshua Saks will moderate, bringing relevant state experience with CROs from his role as Virginia's former Deputy Secretary of Natural Resources. Participants will gain actionable insights into different organizational models and hear effective engagement strategies for building productive CRO partnerships. This session builds on GCC's research on state Chief Resilience Officers.

Adaptation Information-Sharing in the Changing Federal Landscape

Thursday, May 14 at 11 AM | Room 304

GCC and EcoAdapt invite you to participate in this workshop featuring conversations with organizations that host knowledge-sharing tools like the Adaptation Clearinghouse, Climate Adaptation Knowledge Exchange, and others. Small group discussions will help resource providers understand how practitioners access adaptation and resilience information, and what resources are most useful in their daily work. Conversations will explore ways these tools can better meet practitioner needs for data, analysis, reports, and examples of real policy solutions. Takeaways from this workshop will inform ongoing collaboration among resource providers to fill information gaps and make climate resources more accessible.
