Vicki Arroyo, in an interview with Reuters about the new National Climate Assessment, called attention to solutions to prepare for and reduce climate impacts. Insights about practical solutions are a critical part of the Climate Assessment and can help decision makers and the public effectively respond to climate change in their communities.
"You really can't just provide a report that paints this dark picture of all these impacts," says Arroyo. "You have to couple it with a message of what our government can do about it, what you can do about it and what our communities can do."
